Yes, if you are comfortable with electronic equipment setup. If on an LG TV, if you are comfortable registering with an Apple or Android mobile app, you're good to go. Otherwise, request assistance.

No, your system comes with everything you need, including an HDMI cable and batteries for your Independa Simplified Remote. For LG TVs, only a third-party video chat camera is needed.

Yes. Your LG TV needs to be connected to the internet, however way you would normally do this. A WiFi or ethernet connection is required for the Companion™ device.

LG TVs (2021 and newer) are optimal. For the Independa AnyTV Companion™, the only requirement for the TV is that it accepts HDMI and has at least one input available. TVs manufactured in the last 16+ years have HDMI built in.

Independa still works. However, it's best if there is some HDMI feed coming in, for example from a DVD player.

Yes. However, it's best if the feed from your HDMI cable is going into the Independa system.

On your non-LG TV, you can still use Independa, but you'd have to be on the HDMI input that Independa comes in on. Reminders may be unavailable while streaming, but you can still receive a backup reminder to your phone.

Free features are available on LG TVs; paid services including 24/7 doctor and dentist visits, exercise videos, and dental discount plans are also available.

For organizations, Life Stories allows family and friends to easily and conveniently record conversations on specific topics with their elderly loved one, thereby preserving memories. Expert-developed topic guides are included. Currently unavailable on consumer LG TVs.
